C-reactive protein (CRP) is the body’s indicator of a pro-inflammatory state. The Prima home-test kit can measure this through a small blood sample taken at home and indicate whether you are in a pro-inflammatory state.

What is CRP?

When the body is under threat from infection, injury or inflammation, the liver produces c-reactive protein (CRP). This is then released into the blood. CRP is not specific to any specific disorder or infection but is a generic marker of inflammation or infection. CRP levels in the blood reach their peak concentration between 24 and 48 hours after the onset of the first symptoms of infection/inflammation, and then begin to decrease as the infection clears/inflammation subsides.
